عن أبي أمامة رضي الله عنه قال:

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم:

مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِله و أبغضَ لله و أَعطى لله و منَعَ لله فقد استكمل الإيمانَ

رواه أبو داوود

Narrated by Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه:

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم said:

Whoever loves for the Sake of Allah, hates for His Sake, gives for His Sake and withholds for His Sake has completed Faith.

The same can be said of all other deeds as the verse in Surat ul An’àm (verse 162) demonstrates:

قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَ نُسُكِي وَ مَحْيَاي وَ مَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم): ‘Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (all that exists)’.
