The Noble Teacher

Mu’awiyah ibn Al-Hakam رضي الله عنه narrates: While I was praying with the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلمsomeone sneezed so I said: ‘Yarhamu kallah (May Allah have mercy on you)’. The people shot me looks so I said: ‘O my mother’s loss of me! Why are you looking at me?’ Then they started hitting their thighs with their hands. When I saw them silencing me I kept quiet. Once the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم had finished praying, may my father and mother be sacrificed for him; I have not seen a teacher before or after him better than him. For by Allah! He did not scold nor hit nor revile me. He said: ‘Verily, any speech with people is not permissible in this prayer…’
