I read this article about the future of education, and it made me realise something profound. There is a shift happening—you can feel it every single day.
Like all great shifts throughout history, this is a reminder not to lose ourselves in the fleeting nature of this dunya. It urges us to be intentional in our pursuits. Everything worldly is temporary and subject to change. If everything around you were to reset today, what would remain? What would you be left with? That is everything. This shift is a call to reassess our priorities—what consumes our thoughts, what drives our decisions. And not to become wound up toys out of a numbing fear of being left out or losing our livelihoods. All it takes is a moment of sincere faith.
Whatever you go choosing for yourself and your children from the systems of today, make it be built on haqq— the truth, to the best of your knowledge. For the benefit of your dunya and akhirah, aligning with the teachings and values of the Prophet (sal). His guidance remains a shining light through every era and the constant, protecting us from being swept away by the materialistic and deceptive agendas of modern “educationists.”

True education is not just books, courses, or institutions. It is certainly not the mere accumulation of credentials or honorary titles—valuable in their own way, yet never the ultimate purpose of our one precious life. Real education is the cultivation of the whole person—an internal culture that refines, guides, and emboldens one to make fearless, principled choices. It frees a person, real education, breaking every chain that has held him down, taking him from the depressing narrowness of servitude to the creation to the vastness of worshipping the Supreme Rab of the creation.
