Narrated by ‘Aaishah رضي الله عنها: When the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم got up at night to pray, he would say:
اللهُمَّ رَبَّ جِبْرِيْلَ وَ مِيْكَائِيْلَ وَ إِسْرَافِيْلَ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهَادَةِ، أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِيْمَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَخْتَلِفُوْنَ، اهْدِنِي لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيْهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِكَ إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيْمٍ
O Allah, the Lord of , the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between Your slaves in what they used to differ. Guide me to the truth of what is differed in by Your Permission. Surely, You guide whom You will to a straight path.
